Armed Shoplifter caught in Bedford.

I have just heard about an incident at a TK Max in Bedford where a shoplifter used a knife to resist being arrested by a Security Officer. He was promptly sprayed red with a product called StoppaRed UV and a few minutes later armed Police Officers were able to arrest the offender in another part of the town because he was covered in red dye.

No one got hurt, but the Police were able to make an arrest in circumstances that might have allowed the offender to get away with it.

I think that this type of offender probably gets away with this kind of stuff too often and I am glad he didn't this time. Perhaps he will spread the word amongst the criminal community of Bedford that TK Max is not worth the trouble of stealing from.
